Y después de mucho tiempo dándole vueltas.. ¡Aquí estoy!
Siempre digo que lo mejor que podemos hacer cuando viajamos o vamos a vivir a una nueva ciudad, es preguntar a los locales. Sólo así conseguimos adentrarnos en el corazón de cualquier lugar. Sea el plato estrella de un restaurante, esa calle escondida que jamás encontraríamos ni en esos maravillosos días grises que nos gusta perdernos o,ese mercado donde compramos nuestros pequeños amuletos que a partir de entonces nos van a permitir viajar una y otra vez a ese lugar, aunque sea un viaje por las nubes de nuestros recuerdos.
Antes de continuar, me gustaría presentarme. Mi nombre es Astrid y me considero, como en España nos gusta decir, un culo inquieto. Después de haber vivido en diferentes ciudades a lo largo de mi vida y haber viajado mucho y, ¡lo que me queda si el de Arriba me lo permite!, llevo 8 meses tres semanas y dos días viviendo en São Paulo, Brasil. Así que, con permiso de los paulistanos, me atrevo a decir que después de este tiempo, he ganado mi medalla de local. Sin olvidar nunca, como no podría ser de otra manera, mis raíces y experiencias que me ayudan a tener una visión crítica con mi día a día.
Podría decir que este blog va a pasar a ser mi pequeño diario en brasil, pasando por restaurantes que me fascinan, tiendas que descubro, lugares escondidos, viajes, curiosidades y consejos prácticos... En fin, todo lo que me gustaría que me contaran si visitara este maravilloso país por primera vez!
Si una cosa tengo clara desde que llegué aquí es que la gente suele decir que New York es la ciudad que nunca duerme... pero dicen eso, porque nunca han estado en São Paulo! Es una ciudad 24/7, nunca para.
Sin querer extenderme más... Espero seros de ayuda y entreteneros, podéis preguntar, sugerir, opinar... y en la medida de lo posible, voy a aconsejaros en todo lo que pueda!

And after a long time turning this idea over in my mind …Here I am!
I always say that the best thing to do when traveling or moving to a new city for the first time is to ask a local. I do believe this is the only way to get into the Heart of any place. Knowing where to eat the best local food, to find that cool hipster shop in a hidden street or to find the market where we end up buying our secret amulets which from that very moment will allow us to travel back to that place, even if only a travel on the clouds of our memories.
Before moving on, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Astrid and I consider myself, as we like to say in Spain, an antsy pants person. I’ve been lucky to live in different cities throughout my life and traveled a lot as well (and still lot to travel with God’s permission!). At this moment, I 've been 8 months three weeks and two days living in São Paulo, Brazil. So, with permission from paulistanos, I daresay I can be called local in here. Not forgetting, never eveeeer, my roots and experiences that help me to experience my day to day with a critical point of view.
I could say that this blog will be my partner in crime here in Brazil. We will go to new restaurants, cool shops, hidden places... And will travel a lot! I would like to invite you all to live these experiences with us!
If one thing is clear to me since I came here is that people often say that New York is the city that never sleeps ... But they say that, because they’ve never been in São Paulo before! It's A City 24/7. It never stops.
